The Labour Party

"Come back Tony. All is forgiven." We were just three months into the lacklustre leadership of Gordon Brown before this immortal phrase was first uttered. Some fifteen years and four consecutive General Election defeats later, you're now deafened by the cries of these words from the out-of-touch middle-class Lefties who back Labour. But is it too late for the Labour Party? For my sources tell me that Tony Blair is advising the Tories. A marriage made in Heaven some might say. After all even Tony Blair's former constituents in Sedgefield now vote for the Tories. But where did it all go wrong for Labour? Perhaps if the middle-class Left had not ditched Blair and demanded True Socialism (whatever that is in 2021), they would not have ended up in the cul-de-sac of electoral oblivion. We could still be inside the European Union! Indeed Labour are so desperate for the good old days they even have Blairite Sir Keir Starmer as their leader. Advocating New Blairism. Desperate indeed.

Is it any wonder Tony Blair has started to advise the Tories? For it has been revealed that Labour is using focus groups in order to find out what it should believe in. These focus groups have found Labour must brandish the Union Jack and dress smartly if it is to win back the trust of voters - lost during the toxic torrid tenure of Jeremy Corbyn. Not only that but Labour must also praise (through gritted teeth if necessary) military veterans. The same military veterans they sent to die in Iraq and Afghanistan when they were last in office. To achieve these aims Labour MPs have been told to put on displays of patriotism, including waving the Union Jack and dressing tidy at war memorials, in order to maintain the idea Labour has changed. Apparently voters prefer a British Prime Minister who actually believes in Britain. Who knew? Give over. It'll never catch on. Voters are also repelled by well-educated middle-class "Wokeists" who clearly hate Britain and support its enemies. The sort of intellectuals who believe the problems of Britain will be solved by renationalising BT, whilst waving the Palestinian flag and screaming their support for the IRA. As one voter from Grimsby said: "They have left real people, the taxpayers, behind." Never. Really?

One senses the Labour leadership might have its work cut out convincing voters the party is proud to be British and has ditched True Socialism. One half-wit Labour MP, when told of new plans to turn Labour into the patriotic party, said: "We appear to be absorbing the language and also the symbols of UKIP. It's not patriotism. It's Fatherlandism and we don't need to go down the road of The Nativist Right." Of course Socialists are rather keen on Nativism. Just as long as it involves Scottish Nativism, Welsh Nativism or Irish Nativism. Whatever you do don't mention English Nativism or British Nativism. Perhaps we shouldn't be too surprised. For this is the party that couldn't tell us whether Winston Churchill was a hero or a villain, that sneered at a white van driver for having festooned his house in the St. George's Flag, and which recently unveiled plans to call the British Armed Forces the Peace Corps. Or a "gender balanced human security corps" to be precise. This is before we get on to that "bigoted old woman" Gillian Duffy who simply wanted British jobs for British workers. What a crime! As one Government source said: "If Labour think becoming the patriotic party is going to help them win back seats then they are deluded. The fact they have had to run extensive focus groups to come up with this idea shows how out of touch they are with their core voters. These are people who have pride in their country, who fly the Union Jack at times of celebration, and who have utmost respect for veterans." The Government is right to greet Labour's patriotic plans with both cynicism and laughter. For a Labour insider has been quoted as saying: "Labour doesn't actually believe in any of this patriotic stuff. We're saying whatever we think will get us votes. We'll say anything to win." Says it all really, doesn't it?

Hard Left Jeremy Corbyn Labour supporters have been left in shock over more recent months after the startling revelation that Sir Keir Starmer is starting to mimic Margaret Thatcher. No. Sir Keir is not starting to wear high heeled shoes, a white necklace or a dark navy blue Marks and Spencer suit. Nor is he starting to wave a handbag whilst showing some inner resolve and iron will. Chance would be a fine thing. Neither is all of this some rather bizarre attempt to appeal to the "ever so important" transgendered vote. Indeed if Labour spent as much time chasing the working-class vote as it does the votes of ethnic minorities, well-heeled feminists and the transgendered, then it would have been back in Ten Downing Street a long time ago. Less woke class, more working-class, some might say. I have been referring, of course, to Labour's recent policy announcements and relaunch entitled A New Chapter For Britain. What do you mean you missed it? This new and dynamic policy platform which, at first glance, seemed to promise so much and offered so little. For we were promised a bold vision for the country and a blitz of new and exciting policies which would be "the most radical policy agenda since The Beveridge Reforms" after World War Two. A radical agenda which would be as inspiring as Clement Attlee. Remember him? Sir Keir went on to say in his recent policy relaunch that he was driven by the desire to change people's lives and right injustices. "It's not just about policy choices. It's an utter determination that pulses through my veins," he claimed. Indeed Labour is clearly intent on getting our post-Coronavirus pulses racing by refusing to raise Corporation Tax. For what better way to clearly mark the political and economic dividing lines between Labour and the Conservatives, than for Labour to begin to oppose everything the Conservatives announce. Even going as far to now oppose a Corporation Tax increase which Labour have angrily advocated over the last ten years. Even going so far as to promise us yet another moral crusade against unfairness and inequality. In which, no doubt, they will attempt to save the working-class from themselves again. Just as with the Brexit. Yawn! Moral crusades. I thought the Left were completely opposed to moral crusades. Especially those moral crusades against homosexuality, gay marriage and being transgendered. Not necessarily in that order and on the same day. I guess some moral crusades are more equal than others.

So after all the fanfare around Labour's recent policy relaunch we discover just three major policy initiatives. The first being their decision not to raise Corporation Tax just as the Conservatives announce they will be doing so. The second being a plan which would see the Government give out 100,000 Start Up Loans to new British businesses. "This would help back a new generation of British entrepreneurs," according to Labour Leader Sir Keir Starmer. Labour's third policy initiative is the idea of a British Recovery Bond. A scheme which would see savers lend their money to the Government in return for a more competitive interest rate. The cash saved would then raise billions to be used by the Government to rebuild the economy and invest in infrastructure and jobs post-Covid. Similar to other products offered by National Savings and Investments, the bonds it is believed would be snapped up by households who have put away cash during the pandemic. "It would also provide security for savers and give millions of people a proper stake in Britain's future. This is bold. It's innovative. It's an example of the active, empowering Government we need. For the Tories have created a roadmap to yesterday," according to Sir Keir. Yet this last proposal is hardly bold, innovative and radical as Sir Keir claims. For it was announced back in March in the Budget as part of new Conservative plan to help turbo charge the economy by creating investment for the Green Energy sector. Not only that but the British Recovery Bond idea was first unveiled about four months ago by the Thatcherite think-tank The Centre For Policy Studies. If all this imitating wasn't bad enough Labour's "new" Start Up Loans plan was also first unveiled by a Conservative Chancellor, Sir George Osborne, back in 2012. It would seem I'm afraid that Labour has been caught trying to pinch Conservative clothes - and Margaret Thatcher's clothes at that. What would Clement say I wonder? As you can imagine the Corbyn crowd are absolutely thrilled and delighted by Labour's new plans to help small to medium-sized businesses, entrepreneurs and savers. No doubt they are also equally appalled by the use of the words Britain and British, not only in the policy document, but also by Sir Keir himself who more recently has taken to standing next to Union Jacks at his press conferences. Methinks he has been listening to focus groups. After all, if the Left is to be believed, isn't it racist to want your own country to be much better than other countries?

After hearing that recent speech by Sir Keir Starmer entitled A New Chapter For Britain, Amanda Milling (chairman of The Conservative Party) summed it all up perfectly when she said: "Keir Starmer said this speech would deliver his big vision for the country. A big policy blitz with ideas to rival Beveridge and relaunch his failing leadership of Labour. But there were only two new policies. The giving out of 100,000 Start Up Loans to emerging British businesses and a British Recovery Bond. The first idea taken from the Conservatives and the other from The Centre For Policy Studies - the think tank co-founded by Margaret Thatcher. After ten months of Keir Starmer all Labour has to offer is others' ideas, empty rhetoric and calling for things the Government is already doing." Even Starmer's own political strategist (and key figure in his leadership campaign) Tom Kibasi said Sir Keir's leadership was "on a journey to nowhere". He then added: "If Starmer were to depart as leader tomorrow he would not leave a trace of a meaningful project in his wake." Oh dear, what a brutal assessment to receive from a key adviser. With friends like these who needs any enemies? If things couldn't get any worse for Starmer, and almost to add insult to injury, now Jeremy Corbyn's friends have started to reappear on the scene in the guise of The No Holding Back Group. Set up by a gang of Corbynite Labour MPs they issued their first press statement saying: "Dear Sir Keir. Labour needs a partnership with society paid for by taxation. Not a partnership with big business paid for by society." Meanwhile the trade unions have also joined the attacks on the Labour leader with Unite, Britain's biggest trade union, saying Sir Keir Starmer's new speech was "just numerically illiterate". Mind you, coming from the trade unions and the Hard Left this is quite a compliment for Starmer. For if we were to listen to the trade unions right now we would surely be giving everyone 12.5% pay rises. However Sir Keir should not be too concerned or rattled by all this criticism from the fans of Jeremy Corbyn. The man who told us in 2016 that, just like in 2008 and also back into 1983, the centre ground of British politics had dramatically shifted to the Left. A man who on the eve of General Election 2019 even told us he could sniff a Labour victory in the air. Corbyn was clearly sniffing something late that night if he thought he and his headbanger friends were ever going to be inside Ten Downing Street. For even though Britain's increasingly indolent and indulged middle-class may have bought into the teachings of Karl Marx, the working-class have never been so dumb and as stupid to do so. This is why they voted for Brexit and also for our Boris. Indeed if Remainers had studied their history they would have known (as I did when I first began leading the Brexit campaign in Wales) it wasn't Britain's middle-class who put Margaret Thatcher into Number Ten. As this is a complete misreading of political history and helps to explain why so many of our seemingly well-educated, but deeply flawed middle-class experts, were shocked by the vote for Brexit. For it was actually the working-class who helped to put Margaret Thatcher into power for over a decade. Indeed it is rather ironic and one of the great unspoken rules of British politics that without the votes of the "stupid and uneducated plebs who back Brexit" then you will never have power in Britain. For without the votes of the so-called powerless then you can have no power. It is as simple as that. I must admit to you I've always found it pays to study history. When reflecting on the past seven years in British and also American politics (in which I have helped to play no insignificant part) don't you think so too?

Where were the Labour Party when it came to the great working-class revolution that was Brexit? Did they stand shoulder to shoulder with the working man in his hour of need? Nope. They all tried to knife him in the back instead. Did they help man the barricades when the rich came a knocking to steal their hard won vote and their voice? Nope. Indeed they almost enabled it to happen. Did they listen with care and concern when warned that uncontrolled immigration (coupled with not enough jobs) would lead to an explosion in poverty, food banks and welfare claims? Nope. After all if there aren't enough workers in poverty, Labour won't be winning any General Elections any time soon - for you can't stir up envy, bitterness and hatred against the rich without poverty. Just ask a Socialist. Indeed what better way to dine out on people's misery than to import large swathes of it in the guise of unemployment, poverty and cheap labour from the European Union? If people then complain about this just accuse them of being racists and bigots. That'll shut them up. After all every idiot should know that you solve the problem of two million unemployed within Britain by adding three million unemployed from the European Union. Yes folks, it is you who is thick! Did Labour run to protect and defend the interests of the working-class when they were openly mocked and derided (albeit by an virtually unknown theatre director) as "those thick and uneducated plebs"? Nope. They even joined in with the attack by suggesting the plebs did not know what they were doing or voting for. Just like in the 1980s when the supposedly confused (otherwise known as the stupid and dumb element of the working-class) kept Thatcher in power for over a decade. I think they call it the Kinnock explanation. How sad and utterly devastating it is then that during the Brexit Referendum Labour could be found propping up and defending the interests, not of the working class, but of the internationalist global elite. Is it therefore any real wonder Labour is now being punished at the ballot box for their utter stupidity, treachery and callousness?

Perhaps we shouldn't be too surprised that Labour seems more interested these days in protecting the financial interests of the international global elite. After all doesn't Tony Blair now own several properties worth millions of pounds, whilst my sources tell me that his son Euan already has a cool £70m in the bank. This is before we get on to Blair's wife and his three other children who, I am also reliably informed, also own property worth millions upon millions of pounds. This is before we get on to other Labour MPs with property empires no doubt built on their expenses claims. Surprise! Surprise! It is hard not to criticise Tony Blair. So I won't. For not only was Tony one of the most successful British politicians of our times, but he also never claimed to be a Socialist. So you can't criticise him for his personal profit motive. Clever, isn't he? I remember my first dinner with him in 1993 and we openly discussed ripping up Clause IV. The venue was appropriately called Churchills. We agreed to do so and I was pleased that many of my ideas later turned up in the revised version of Clause IV. I just remember pinching my twenty-something self too. I was young, naive and I couldn't believe my luck. For I was coming of age at a time of great political change. I couldn't believe I was actually advising Labour's future leader and future Prime Minister to ditch Socialism. Just as well really. Look what has happened to the Labour Party since they readopted it. Bet they all miss him now. Sad bunch of Leftie losers. I warned them not to do it. For there was a very real risk it would open up the front door to political opportunists and weirdos. People like me for instance.

Tony Blair's main weakness in my view was world affairs and, of course, his related sad obsession with the EU. Indeed devolution only happened because of our EU membership and their creepy demand we create these regionally elected grant distribution bodies (otherwise known as devolved administrations). What exactly are the benefits of this? Other than a way for the EU to have influence and also control over the United Kingdom by bypassing the political inconvenience that is disobliging Westminster. Tony Blair's only other weakness that I knew of was that he was not too well versed in history. Especially Scottish and, dare I say, Middle Eastern. Anyway when I tell people I've advised two Prime Ministers, they just don't believe me. Indeed in politics when you tell people the truth they don't believe you, and when you don't tell them the truth they believe you. Can you actually believe that? No. Neither can I.

As for organisations not too well versed in history we should also include universities in the UK. Especially during the EU Referendum. Like many alumni I received some clear "independent" advice from my alma mater about how I should vote in the referendum. In one document from one university I was presented with the views of five experts in their particular field on how I should vote. From a leading geneticist to a successful entrepreneur. Funnily enough, all five of them told us to vote Remain. Though one expert did spend two pages raising concerns about the EU before concluding we should all vote Remain anyway. "Why?" I thought to myself. Decisions should be based on reason, not on the idiotic emotions of a Professor whose family had fled the Holocaust in 1943 and whose support for the EU was based, of course, on a twisted misreading of history. A desire not to repeat Two World Wars. A paranoia about fascism which sees everyone from Trump, Farage and Boris branded the new Hitler. Yet there is nothing more fascistic than the EU. Especially when it comes to the Coronavirus vaccine roll out. If all this wasn't bad enough, we were even bombarded by the views of so-called edgy anti-Establishment comedians. Not only in leaflets and glossy brochures, but also on television and the radio. You know the sort. They appear on shows like Have I Got News For You. That once great television show which now sadly books so-called "comedians" because they are black or female - rather than being funny. Another shocking and appalling part of the EU referendum was the attempt by The Church to influence the result. For they held a special Synod meeting to divine the tea leaves and rattle the tables. Apparently it was The Will of The Holy Sprit as divined by the Lord Jesus Christ that we should vote Remain. They clearly had not studied The Bible. If they had they would have known that Brexit would be decided by The Almighty. Working through his humble vessel the working poor. Strangely a most fitting and suitable sign from our Lord. As well as a poke in the eye for the Established Church and its largely crooked henchmen. Amen to all that.
